Dealing with not-invented-here syndrome (NIHS)
You determine that your business needs an enhancement in a new area. So you decide that you'd acquire another company for the capabilities you lack, but then the internal team thinks you are undermining them and this affects morale negatively.
Or you are at a build/buy/partner crossroads and you chose buy or partner, then the team gets uncomfortable.
I have experienced this first hand, and I'm not sure I know the solution.
